Caixa has two boat agencies available to serve riverside populations in the Amazon. The vessels support the need for banking services caused by the difficulties in accessing the regions and reduce the costs of moving the population to urban centers. In this way, in addition to actions to promote health, education, environmental protection and citizenship, Caixa promotes the banking inclusion of residents and the socioeconomic development of the region, reinforcing the role of a socially responsible company. The boats make one trip a month, departing from their places of origin. They have the same services as a conventional agency on land, except for cash handling, in addition to the same opening hours.

Sustainability

​The vessels are self-sufficient to sail up to 30 days in a row and have accessibility features for people with special needs and limited mobility, such as pregnant women and the elderly. They have garbage separation for recycling dry waste, hull painted with non-polluting paint and their own sewage treatment station, releasing 100% treated water into the river. In addition, they use LED lighting, which saves energy costs by 50%, does not contain mercury and lasts for more than 25,000 hours of use.
